Hello my dear and gracious followers!
My daughter has informed me that she
hears crickets when she comes by to visit here.
Yes ~ things have been pretty still around
my little corner of this BIG blogging world.
I know the crickets have been gently calling me back though.
"The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks Him."
(Lamentations 3:25)
I have been waiting on the Lord, and seeking His face.
Thank you, dear and gracious friends for waiting with me.
Thank you, for allowing me this down time
since the passing of my dad.
I've needed some time to be still and quiet,
to "withdraw to a desolate place and pray." (Luke 5:16)
Through time spent with the Lord,
in prayer, meditating on the Scriptures
and just worshiping the Lord in my heart,
to "withdraw to a desolate place and pray." (Luke 5:16)
Through time spent with the Lord,
in prayer, meditating on the Scriptures
and just worshiping the Lord in my heart,
I have been refreshed with God's
abundant supply of goodness.
Our God is Faithful!
He loves to meet us right where we are and bless us.
He stands waiting with the dawn of each
and every new day, ready with a fresh supply
of goodness and gladness and grace
for the hours that will come.
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed,
because his compassion's fail not,
they are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
Our Lord's well of mercy is overflowing,
His supply of blessings, inexhaustible.
From sunrise to sunrise, season to season,
time after time, God's love
is unending and boundless.
Great is His faithfulness!
"My flesh and my heart fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
(Psalm 73:26)
God strengthens our hearts in difficult times,
great is His faithfulness!
God is faithful ~ what strength that gives
what peace it lends to know
that whatever this day may hold
His promises stand ~ for they are ~
unchanging unfailing constant and everlasting.
Oh... our God is faithful!

We will be glad and rejoice in Thee.
We will sing praise to thy name,
O thou most High.
You are truly the most high God,
how can we not rejoice in You, dear Heavenly Father?

That quiet place that only He can fill. Only He can show us what will soothe
Sweet Debbie, when Our Lord wants us all to Himself by taking time away, your friends here in blogging land will wait patiently.
So good to know that you are doing well.
God bless!
Ahhh wonderfully said dear Debbie, isn't the Word of our great God like a balm on a troubled soul??
... pouring peace on a un-quiet heart, creating contentment where only was sorrow, and unhappiness, truly in Him we are so very rich indeed.
When my mum went to be with the LORD it was great emptiness for I had cared for her for 16 years, however, God met me at the rocky land and tears and sorrow, and I remember singing over and over a Sunday School song:
" Peace, peace, wonderful peace falling down from the Father above,
Pour over my spirit forever I pray, in wonderful billows of love."
Praising God for His loving kindness, which indeed is better than life, as the hymn says, and praying for you dear sister,

Welcome Back....you have been missed, my friend. Thank you for sharing such a lovely post. Blessings to you on this Monday.
What a lovely post Debbie. So glad to see you back! Though I missed you and your lovely, though provoking posts, I totally understand that you needed some time to for your heart heal from your loss, and time to spend talking to and listening to the Lord. I hope you have a lovely week my friend. If in your prayer time, you would include me this week I would be grateful. My daughter leaves Friday for Europe and, while I have come to peace with her leaving, it's still going to hurt my heart to leave her Friday. Also, if you would pray for safe travels for her as well. Thank you so much. You are in my prayers as well.
Blessings, Vicky
Dearest Debbie, what a joy it is to see your post gracing my screen this morning! It is terribly hot and humid here in Montreal, and is supposed to be like this for the next several days, but your lovely post is offering much joy and refreshment, which I really need. Thank you so much, my cherished friend, and I am keeping you in my prayers. God speed.
I am rejoicing here in my home, as I gather my writings about this very thing: God's mercies every morning. I am so happy to see you back to know that you have been quietly connecting to yourself again through HIM. Soon my quiet days will turn to stressful but good days back in the teaching world, but what a lovely summer of discovery it's been. I pray that you will discover more about the gift of your life as you allow God's light to shine in this time of loss but continuity of life.
Hello my dear friend...welcome back! I think of you so often but I figured you needed this time. It sounds as though you have been receiving some wonderful blessings of the Lord. Isn't He such an amazing Healer of our hearts? What would we do without Him?! I mean, seriously!! Well, I have missed you dearly, Debbie and am looking forward to your return to Blogland :) Have a great week!
I am so happy to see you back and pray you have found healing in your quiet time. May God continue to heal and bless you in the coming days.
Hugs my friend,
Sylvia

Dear Debbie ~ What a spiritually uplifting and lovely post from you.
We do need times to be still and quiet, especially when grieving.
The scripture in Lamentations is a favorite of mine.
It is wonderful for all of us that God's mercies and His compassion are new and fresh every morning.
Love, hugs and prayers ~ FlowerLady

I do not have a blog, but enjoying following you and others I find inspiring.
Debbie, may you be blessed; thank you for a beautiful post (and music), showing a courageous faith not dimmed by the sadness you have experienced. It blessed me and many others, for sure.
The Lord always meets us there in that still and quiet place to give us strength and hold us up when we need it the most. I'm so glad that you are back, Debbie, but I think I speak for everyone in saying that we understand
your taking time away....Such lovely thoughts and scriptures today, and of course your beautiful images, too. Even in this sad time, you lift us up. Thank you, Dear, and wishing you a peaceful and blessed week. Hugs xo Karen
sweet friend, I have truly missed you. praying for you, and loving you.
Time is what you needed...time to mourn, time to find peace and time to listen to what God has to say to you.
I'm so pleased to see a new post here. I've missed your thoughtful words and look forward to visiting this lovely oasis.
Take care my friend!

You have been missed, Debbie, but it warms our heart to know that your time has been very well spent in the right place. Praying for your continued healing.
A very inspiring and uplifting post, the flower images are amazing.
Have a great week!
It is so lovely to have you back Debbie. You needed the time out and it's good just to rest in our Lord and Saviour - he knows just what we need. Take more time if you need it, we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Reading your words this morning filled my heart with joy and hope, my dear friend. I'm so glad you're feeling renewed and ready to write again. You've been very missed but so much in our hearts!
Have a beautiful day, Debbie.
So lovely to see a post from you Debbie. I'm thankful that you took some time to withdraw and be with our Lord during this time. It is so important that we don't feel we have to rush back to our lives, when time and space are needed, now and I'm sure, for some time. I'm thankful that the Lord met with you, and that you've shared your heart with us. Blessings, xo Deborah
Dearest Debbie, it's good to see you! But please continue your rest as your needs require. Rest is something we women too often don't do enough of and sometimes we suffer for it. So take your time, sweet lady! We'll be here, as you can see! Much love!
Dearest Debbie, what a joy to read your post this evening you are always so encouraging,
You have been in my thoughts and prayers. There is nothing like sweet rest given to us by our Lord! May you continue to b refreshed and renewed! Blessings,
Sue
Sometimes you just need that time away to put your priorities in check, losing someone so close is quite an adjustment to make, I have lost both my parents and I still miss their guidance and time spent with them.
Hi, Debbie -- so good to hear from you again. This was a refreshing post for me today. I've just had a hard time in recent days. Thank you. Two verses from Isa. 26 really helped and soothed me this morning. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed (steadfast) on Thee, because he trusts in Thee." And "Lord, Thou hast also established peace for us, since Thou hast also performed for us all our works." May He give you a wellspring of peace each day.
Dear Debbie,
So happy to see you back here! I have been thinking about you! Though it is obvious that you have been missed, you have been where you needed to be. I hope you continue to take good care of yourself!
xoxo

Precious post, dear Debbie. May you continually be refreshed and restored. Hugs. xx
Oh, Debbie, it's wonderful to see your blog post, and I continue to pray for you during this time of great loss and grief. And, yes, God has allowed this time for you to be refreshed and have this special time with Him...He alone can minister to us through His Word and His Holy Spirit. May you continue to be encouraged and blessed and know that you are dearly loved and prayed for. Thank you for the beautiful photos and always for the beautiful Scripture and precious thoughts! Much love and tender hugs, dear friend! Hugs!
Debbie, I am so sorry you are experiencing this time of emptiness. Your dear sweet dad's generous presence is left unfilled. Your tribute to the only one who fully understands and grieves along with us is beautiful. May Our Lord continue to see you through the sorrow.
So wonderful to see this post from you! Thinking of you and praying for you in continued healing as the Lord comforts you. Your words are the most beautiful expression of how you are seeking Him and taking delight and comfort in being under His wings and wrapped in His love.
May He continue to soothe your heart. It is wonderful to see this post from you. How encouraged and blessed my own heart is. And oh, how breath-taking your photos are♥
Hugs and blessings,
Jazzmin
