All Creation Glorifies God

Hello!
  Dear gracious and faithful followers,
both my husband and I
would like to thank you for your
sweet and precious Anniversary wishes
that you sent our way.
Our hearts were blessed by your love and kindness.
 For some of you, welcome as new followers,
and thank you for your wishes too.

~~~***~~~
All creation glorifies God!
For our wedding Anniversary, my husband and I
took a few days and spent time
surrounded by God's amazing beauty
in some National Parks.
As we visited these parks in all their beauty,
scripture as well as certain hymns
would fall upon my heart and mind ~
you couldn't help but sing praises
to God, the Creator, with joy in your heart.
This rock formation looks like two kissing,
why she even has hair on her head and a bow on her dress
We were awe struck as we either
drove or hiked through the masses
of rock formations.
Such uniqueness with every bend
we would come around.
"To God be the glory"
would come forth from our lips time after time,
 it was just amazing!
We took close to 1000 pictures
and I would love to share just a small glimpse
of our beautiful get-away with you.
~~~***~~~

We started in Moab Utah on a cold and snowy day.
We thought we were heading
into warmer weather, but God who controls
the weather treated us to some snow, hail, rain,
thunderstorms, cold winds and then some
warmth and sunshine on our last day.
Oh how easy it would have been to grumble,
but instead we saw the goodness of God.

We stayed in a warm and cozy cabin ~ sat on the heater
of the van after every wet and cold hike ~
played in the water puddles and sang in the rain ~
praising God in it all!
We chose to see the beauty in the weather, and we certainly did!
The wet weather made everything
come alive with vibrant colors.

Dead Horse Point, with the low clouds
snow/hail and thunderstorms
was breathtaking!

The flowers and trees were vivid in color.

The rocks and arches displayed their beauty with the rain showers.

The mountains with fresh snow off in the distance
made the canyon lands all the more glorious.

The cloud cover allowed us to photo areas
that would have otherwise been washed out.

Bryce Canyon

And while hiking these were the words of my husband,
"well at least were not sweating."
Boy was he right there!
Actually, by the time we reached our cozy cabin
I was chilled to the bone.
Awww... warmth in a hot bubble bath...

 Part of the hiking trail around the rim of Bryce Canyon

Steep switch-backs as part of the hiking trail.
The switch backs were stacked like stairs
because of how steep it was.
Quite amazing!

I was reminded of Psalm 148
where all creation is to praise God.
We were surrounded by God's glory
and we couldn't help but praise His Holy Name!

~~~***~~~
"Let them praise the name of the Lord:
for his name alone is excellent;
his glory is above the earth and the heaven."
Amen.
To God be the Glory!
Warning!
Yesterday I came home to a sad sight with my hummingbirds.
There on one of the feeders was a hummingbird
hanging upside down!
I gasped!!
Ran into the house and literally dropped my arm full of things
and ran back out side to help this little guy.
It appeared to me that he was not alive,
but I could not get his tiny feet to budge from the feeder.
As I began to try and release him I could see his tail feathers slightly moving
and thought, wonderful, he's alive!
I managed to break him free and place him on my finger,
but his breathing was very shallow...
I ran into the house and got a glass of sugar water
and placed his beak into the water...Nothing...
He wouldn't even open his beak.
On my way home I was singing the hymn " Higher Ground"
so the tune was fresh in my mind.
I love to make up songs to other tunes
and so I began to sing a song to this little guy to that tune.
~*~
These were the words I was singing to the chorus of Higher Ground:
Lord give this bird the strength to fly,
I know You can, I'm begging You,
It's all I ask of You dear Lord.
Lord lift him up to higher ground.
~*~
This may seem strange, but as I sang to that little guy
he became stronger...
His wings began to flutter,
in fact, strong enough that I could feel the
wind from them on my face.
There was hope...
He even opened his eyes a little bit...
I cried...I prayed...I sang...and I placed his beak in the water
for two hours straight...
What was so odd was that he never opened his beak
or placed his tongue in the water.
~*~
During the two hours I sat on the front deck
doing all that I could think of to save this little guy
I had the blessed opportunity to examine closely
this beautiful creation of God.
The feathers were amazing in color and size,
his feet were like Velcro clutching my finger
and so tiny to the touch.
Hummingbirds are so quick that
 you never really get a chance to see them close up.
But for me...What a blessing!
It was a bitter-sweet experience.
~*~
At 11:00 last evening he died in the sweet little nest I had prepared for him.
He didn't make it.
God's ways are not our ways are they?
What happened????
We may never know.
 My dear Stephanie looked up on line
why hummingbirds hang upside down.
Turns out, there is something called "tongue-fungal- infection" in hummingbirds
and it can be fatal.
It is caused by not washing the feeders, or letting the sugar water sit in the sun too long.
I have always been so careful about these things.
Was it me? Did this little guy catch it at another feeder?
Questions I may never know the answers to.
I am sharing this with you so you can be warned of the fatal outcome
that can happen to these precious hummingbirds.
Here is the link that Stephanie went to.
I hope it helps you to better know how to care for your birds.
~*~
Dear Heavenly Father.
This is the day which You have made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Many things come our way,
things we are not always ready for,
but You, O Lord, are in control of it all.
Praise Your Holy Name!
Amen.
Walking in the Light
Well, it has been three weeks since my knee surgery
and I have to say that I am doing
much better than this precious little guy!
~
My husband was able to catch this wonderful photo shot
of a cow elk and her very new baby near our home.
Don't you just wonder - in animal language-
what that mother is instructing her baby to do?
How beautiful the way she stands near
as the little one scrambles to get up
and continue on their journey.
~
Proverbs 4:12
"Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go:
Keep her, for she is your life".
~
Wisdom is a journey of many steps,
a path upon which a person openly receives truth.
A heart that is willing to hear and receive
the instructions on wisdom
is a heart bent towards God and His Word.
Jesus spoke of many who had
ears to hear but did not listen.
!
Proverbs 4:18-19
"But the path of the just is like the shining sun,
that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
The way of the wicked is like darkness:
They do not know what makes them stumble".
~
The way of light and the way of darkness
is clearly marked out for us in God's Word.
Those who seek wisdom
 are able to discern-and keep discerning-which path is safe.
At times we may loose our footing
as we walk in the pathway of light,
but God is there to illuminate the problem for us,
to guide us-to help us-to encourage us-
and to pick us up when we stumble and fall.
~
But those who stumble in the darkness
have no way of discerning
what has tripped them up.
Just like this little guy. Had he stayed on better ground
rather that stepping onto this black top
he likely would not have lost his footing.
Are we no different?
Sometimes we stray off the pathway of Light
causing us to loose our footing
and then we stumble and fall.
~
God would have us to be in the Word,
so as to have a heart and mind that is discerning.
God provides the wisdom.
Anyone can acquire it if they have a heart to pursue it!
~
Our precious Heavenly Father.
Thank you for Your Word that instructs us in wisdom.
Cause us to have a heart that is bent towards reading it daily,
and help us to apply Your principles to our every day life.
Thank you, for always being there when we stumble and fall,
and with a tender loving hand, ready to pick us up,
and nudge us onward for Your glory.
Amen.
~
I would like to say thank you dear friends for your prayers on my behalf.
My recovery has gone well. To God be the glory!
Memorial Blessings
Memorial Day usually has some type of picnic or Bar-B-Q
activity planned with loved ones to gather with.
It's a time spent with family and friends,
and in our neck of the woods,
BEAR!
~
"Yogi" our latest addition this spring
took on the job of looking after the Bar-B-Q.
"Boo Boo", Yogi's brother did not join us for lunch,
he was likely out looking for berries, as Yogi should have been doing!
~
We are surrounded by the beauty of God's creation,
and each spring we are blessed to find
many new animals and creatures to love and enjoy.
I trust your Memorial Day week-end has been as blessed as ours.
~
Our precious Heavenly Father.
Thank you, for this time when we can reflect and honor
 those who have sacrificed much for the freedoms of this country.
May we never forget...
Thank you, for family and friends
whom we can gather with,
sharing the joy of sweet fellowship,
and for the many provisions You bestow upon us.
Amen.
