Joyful in the Glory and Beauty ~

"Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
*Psalm 149:5-6*

My husband and I drove an hour from our home to take
Cherry Delight to her personal mechanic for her 1st check-up and oil change.
You can read all about Cherry Delight  here.
The blooms on this cherry tree near our mechanics shop
were absolutely stunning not to mention their fragrance!
We live at a higher elevation making it hard for certain fruit trees to grow,
so I am always in awe of their glory and beauty when I see them.
Aren't they magnificent!?
Of course photo's never do justice, (especially when using a cell phone) do they?

Last week I was reading in the book of Psalms and was reminded through this verse
that we should praise God ~ ALWAYS ~
When we wake up in the morning, at noon and in the evening.
Habits are easy enough to form, so why not form a habit
of thanking and praising God as soon as we wake up each morning.
When we quote the Scriptures and give praise to God
while we are still lying in our comfy cozy beds, it prepares us
by implanting in our minds words for a positive attitude
and outlook to meet what may come in our daily lives.
Why not begin our day with joy and glory in our hearts?
We can worship and praise God for the promises found in His Word
and for all He has done and is doing in our lives?
Our worshipful hearts pointed towards our most Holy and Righteous God,
will draw us closer to His Precious side.
I know Satan would love to defeat us from the onset of our day,
but we can choose to not be defeated as we put on the garment of praise
and tbanksgiving when we sing for joy upon our beds before we
allow the negativity of this world to enter into our minds.
Begin tomorrow morning dear followers ~ try not to roll out of your bed until
you have first sung for joy with a heart of praise and thanksgiving.
That little bit of extra time you will take in doing so
will make all the difference in your heart attitude.
God's love and faithfulness will motivate and enable
you to walk in a way that honors Him.

"Praise ye the Lord.
Sing unto the Lord a new song and his praise
in the congregation of saints."
*Psalm 149: 1*

I love that Psalm...and I often think of it when awaking to a new day. Thank you for this beautiful reminder today. The Cherry Blossoms are stunning!! Even more so will be the fruit...I assume that is a real cherry tree and not just an ornamental one? They don't grow here in Florida, so I miss having such luscious fruit on the trees. Have a beautiful spring day!!

What a beautiful cherry tree, filled with such lovely pink blooms.

A wonderfully inspiring post dear Debbie! I do thank Jesus every morning for the gift of a new day, if it wasn't for Him I wouldn't be here. He gives me strength to do what needs to be done, He is my strength when I am weak. There is MUCH to thank Him for in each gift of a new day, we just need to 'be still' and 'see' His many blessings and the many ways in which He works things out in our lives. He can take bad things that happen to us and turn them into good for us and for His honor and glory.

Have a great week ~ FlowerLady

How very lovely the tree is, it's almost Japanese! I have a cherry tree in the garden, just an ornamental one, and it is about ready to flower. Then I shall know that Spring is here!

I love this post, dear friend! I thought about you several times last week and almost picked up the phone to call, then realized it was too early in the day. Did not want to wake you up! :-) I take a lot of impromptu photos with my cell phone too. Not great but I surprise myself sometimes. The Cherry trees are gorgeous!!! Love you!

I love the Cherry Trees. An hour drive south of me is Macon, it's famous for it's Cherry Trees, there are over 300,00 trees planted in and around town.
Praising God each day for His faithfulness.
Have a great week, Debbie!

Such beautiful cherry blossoms...they are a favorite of mine! Oh, the beauty they share with the world! I love your reflections on the Psalm. I'm spending time in Psalms during my quiet time right now, and I must say that they are even more amazing than I remember. I am reminded all throughout the chapters just how wondrous God is and how majestic He made this world for us to enjoy. Your post today was a lovely reminder...thank you for sharing such beautiful truth!

Joyful blessings to you ♥

Thank you for the reminder of praising and giving glory to God, my friend. One thing that I am learning to do is TRUST Our Heavenly Father. I know how I want to solve things, but trusting God, as we trusted our own fathers when we were little, is now on my personal agenda. In the process, I give thanks and praise to Him.
I hope that Cherry Delight is still giving you joy! Enjoy your week, sweet friend.

A beautiful post - thanks for letting those of us STILL getting snow to experience spring vicariously through you haha! There is so much truth to this post - great reminders to praise the Lord ALWAYS. Something that does not come naturally or easily for any of us but I feel like it's something that with 'practice', BEGINS to be closer to our first response rather than the last.

Hi Debbie, I haven't been here in blogland in over a month, and was just starting out to see all that I've missed. And I had to come over here first as I was so surprised to see a post up from you as I thought you weren't blogging anymore. (I think people have probably decided I'm not blogging either, haha!) So good to hear the news of your mom settled in well in her own home. Oh, those blossoms are so beautiful!! We woke to snow here! But yes, cherry blossoms or ice storms, God is good. xo Deborah

Wow! What a stunning picture! My cherry blossom tree is slowing starting to bud out. After today and the glorious sunshine we had, it won't be long until it starts to bloom.

Another lovely post :) Much love to you!
