Returning to Rehab ~

How can I express to you, dear friends, my overflowing heart
of gratitude for your visits and most comforting messages?
There are no words to describe what I feel within my heart.
You may never know just how sweetly you have touched my life
during this difficult time that I am going through with the health of mom.
I keep thinking that I will soon be back to writing regular posts
and be finished with so many up-dates on mom, but I'm just not sure
when that is going happen.
Of course I will be posting and sharing with my dear Stephanie as we share in her
Tea Cup/Mug Exchange~Reveal Party next week ~ Woohoo!!
So many of you have shared encouraging messages
and for the life of me I just can't get around to replying back to you, I'm so sorry!
Please, except my heart felt gratitude as I thank you here on my blog.
Last week I spent pretty much of my week in the hospital with mom,
and the hospital is two hours away, so that meant staying over a few nights.
This particular hospital has a Hospitality House that God so graciously
led me to through a Christian nurse looking after mom.
What a BLESSING!!
A lovely place where you can find rest for your weary soul.
During the week when mom was in the hospital recovering from her brain surgery
I found myself deep in the Scriptures bathing myself in
verses that pertained to God as my Rock.
God has truly been my Rock, whom I have held tightly to each and every day.

♡♡♡♡♡

"I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength."
~ Psalm 18:1~
Oh, how I love the Lord my God, Who is my strength!
"The Lord is my Rock,  and my fortress, and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower."
~ Psalm 18:2 ~
My "buckler" meaning my shield.
What more could I ask for?
"In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even unto his ears."
~ Psalm 18:6 ~
I will call upon my Lord, who is worthy to be praised!
"It is God that girdeth me with strength,
and maketh my way perfect."
~ Psalm 18:32 ~
To gird, to equip ~ with God as my Rock, I know that I can have the confidence
in preparing myself to meet each new day, knowing,
I must meet it with strength and endurance finding joy in everything.

♡♡♡♡♡

Mom's surgery went well, the surgeon is pleased and mom is in the healing process.
Mom returned back to Rehab just five days after her fall!
I'm amazed at how quickly patient's are released from the hospital,
even brain surgery patients. It's crazy!!
Mom has a long road with therapy, with now new conditions to deal with.
She has been remarkable!
Our trust is in God, our Great Physician and Healer.
With one day and one step at a time, mom will reach her goals and cross her finish line
with an amazing victory and story to share with others
as God receives all the glory and praise.
Once again, thank you so very much for your love, care and prayers.

"As for God, His way is perfect"

Joy!
~ Debbie ~

Oh, Debbie, I've been praying for you and your mom, even though I've been so behind commenting on blogs. I praise God for how He's brought your mom through the surgery and also allowed you to be ministered to through His Word and comfort of the Holy Spirit. It's amazing how much we grow through great trials. But we know that's all part of His great plan for our lives...and for that I thank Him gratefully. Thank you for sharing the precious verses that God gave you during your time. I remember the verses God brought to my mind when I was in the hospital. His Word is such a blessing, and I praise Him for His promise to never leave or forsake us. Much love and tender hugs to you...and to mom!

It seems like so many other folks I know are dealing with this very thing. All you can do is keep trusting Jesus and taking each day one day at a time. Lots of prayers are lifted up for you and yours. Your attitude is so amazing and your calm heart. I will keep praying as it seems to be going very well. Have a blessed and beautiful day. HUGS Anne

So thankful for this praise-filled update and report on your dear mother! Our Lord our Rock is indeed so very faithful! So thankful that the brain surgery went well and that your mom is recovering in therapy, she sure is a trooper! I know it has taken its toll on you too, to be away from home for such long periods of time, and so thankful that there has been a place for you to stay and rest, and soak up the word of God for your soul. Don't worry about replying to this message, just know you continue to be in my heartfelt prayers and thoughts, and I do believe your mom will be restored back to living her life again quite soon! Hugs to you today dear friend!

Debbie all that you say here suddenly brought the days back to me when both my mom and dad were in hospital together. Mom with cancer, and Dad being sorted out with his sudden dementia. I too would drive to their town about 2 hours each way, and thankfully they still had their house where I would sleep on the weekends. It was during the winter and I had to drive through some awful and scary snow storms at times. It was such an utterly draining time both physically and mentally. I'm only sharing this to say I know exactly what you are going through. Even though you hate being at the hospital, it suddenly becomes your second home. I hope your nurses are as kind and as helpful as ours were. Your scripture verses have brought tears to my eyes because it shows you are putting this all in God's hands and He is of great comfort to you. Praying for you and your dear mom to receive the strength you both need to come through this. Hugs to you,

Debbie, it is so heart breaking to see our parents go through these hard times. God's Word is our strength, keep on leaning upon it. Your not walking this along He is right there with you all. Putting it all into His hands, hands that hold, hands that are powerful, and yet so gentle. Hands that heal, hands that guide what better hands to place your mom in. Hugs, and prayers Teresa.

Dear Debbie,
My heartfelt prayers, love, and hugs are with your precious mother and you, Stephanie, and your family. I was so, so sorry to hear of the last update on your mom and have left it in my browser tab to comment on today, and then I refreshed and saw your latest post- I am so happy to read of the success of her surgery and her progress and healing. I know our dear Lord is holding her close and will bring her continued strength and this will be my continued prayer for her♥ I can only imagine what a blessing and comfort it is to your mom also to have the most loving daughter caring for her.
How wonderful that we can take delight and sweet comfort in God's loving arms as we walk through different trials in life, and what an encouragement to be reminded of the verses you mentioned that are close to your heart and mind during this time. You are in my thoughts and fervent prayers as you care for your mom. Your strength and heart are an inspiration in faith and much more.

Love and many hugs!
Jazzmin☺
