God is Merciful~

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
yea, our God is merciful.
* Psalm 116:5 *

♡******♡

Hello to you, my dear and sweet followers!
I'm popping in to leave you with a little up-date on mom.
She continues to jump over each hurdle that is placed before her
and is getting stronger each and every day.
God is merciful!
Mom was in ICU a total of 27 days ~
that is serious cause for substantial physical impairments
muscle loss and weakness that can have a lasting effect,
but by the grace of God she is doing extremely well.
While our days have been filled with therapy, doctor visits and just plain rehab
the spring and summer months have come and gone so very quickly
taking us into those cool autumn days and bringing with them
the changing colors of our aspen leaves here in the Rocky Mountains.
I was beginning to think that it wasn't going to be a colorful year,
but oh my, each day has brought with it such glorious beauty.
Some of our doctor visits are a three hour drive,
but I'll take those drives any day just to see God's creation and beauty.
As of now, mom and I will be heading to Arizona October 9th.
I will stay with mom until the end of October and help with getting her settled
then return home just in time for Stephanie's Tea Cup/Mug Reveal Party

♡******♡

Over these past three months you have so graciously gone before the throne of God
and prayed over my mother and our family
and for that, I am truly grateful!
Your many prayers have been heard and our Great and Loving God has been merciful.
He has bestowed His grace upon our family and carried us through
Some difficult hours meeting our EVERY need.
May I ask for your prayers again on behalf of the surgeon who
did the Mitral Valve Clip procedure on mom?
Last week at mom's follow up visit this amazing Doctor (and Believer in Christ)
shared with us that he has pancreatic cancer. :(
My heart sank as I sat there looking and listening to this man
who has a young family and a life ahead of him now facing the battles of cancer.
His testimony of the Lord was awesome and he had a joy
that was contagious.
He was one of the Instruments God used in saving mom's life,
now I wish to reach out on his behalf  to the many prayer warriors
and ask for prayer and a miracle in the healing of this wonderful Doctor.
When I say "miracle" I believe that what ever the outcome will be,
whether God heals him or calls him home to glory
that will be the miracle God has in His marvelous plan.
Thank you, and God bless you!

"But we will give ourselves continually to prayer,
and to the ministry of the word.
* Acts 6:4 *

Be Gracious!
~ Debbie ~

The words 'pancreatic cancer' send shudders through me.Exactly 7 years ago during these very days my husband was fighting for his life as this same cancer took its toll. I said a final earthly good-bye to him on Nov.10 of 2010.May God work in this doctor's life and give him and his family that perfect peace during difficult times.

Giving thanks or your mother's improvements and her good health care. May her doctor also get the very best care as he battles cancer. The view in your photo is spectacular and the scenery too!

I am well aware of the concern you feel for your mother as I have been in an ICU for over 30 days with my own mother. It is an extremely trying time and the care that follows. Thank God today my mom is doing well. I will pray for the precious doctor that cared for your mother and continue prayer for your mother.

God is a merciful and loving father, and will not give us more than we can bear, although sometimes it feels as if we can't bear anymore. He will lighten our load with His love and gives us strength to go on. There's been many times I've felt this way and my heavenly father says "Trust Me". I am happy to hear of the progress of your Mother, Debbie. I will pray for her doctor!
Take care my friend.

Oh, my goodness, and this is another one of those situations that we ask "why?" I will certainly be praying for this precious man. May the Lord enfold he and his family in his arms and give them peace and comfort in the days ahead.

So, so glad about your sweet Mom and praying that she will continue to gain strength and will be doing quite well by the time you leave her.

Happy, happy weekend sweet lady!

It's so good to get an update from you. I left your last email in my in box so I would be reminded to pray. I'll leave it there now as a reminder to add this wonderful doctor to my prayers. How very sad and especially as he has a young family. But as you've expressed -- God is able to do anything according to His will! So glad your mom is doing well!

Dearest Debbie, It is so good to hear of God's mercies and grace covering your mom and her continued improvement. So very sorry to hear of the Instrument of the Lord that is now dealing with that dreaded disease. Praying for a miracle as you said-either here on earth or in glory. Grace and peace for him and his family.
I just learned that a dear saint and friend whose 79 in Ca. had surgery for Ovarian Cancer(the same that took my sister 12 years ago). It is so hard to learn of these who are fighting for their lives, but trusting that the Lord has made their lot secure.
Hugs, blessings and prayers.

I'm so glad to hear your mother is doing well. What a faithful daughter you have been. And I'm sure such a joy and comfort to your mother. I'm glad you are able during all this caregiving time to lift your eyes up unto the hills, rejoicing in their beauty and knowing where your help comes from.
Blessings to you. xo Deborah

Thank you for the update on your mom, dearest Debbie, and also for the request to pray for the surgeon who shared his beliefs and pancreatic cancer with you. I will certainly include him in my prayers. I'm so happy that your mom is doing well, and that you'll be driving her to her winter home. What a loving, caring, thoughtful daugher you are, my friend. May God's love, peace and blessings be with you.

I am SO thankful God is healing your dear Mom and that He chose to leave her with you here on earth. I know how hard it is to lose both parents and there is something about losing that last parent that has a sorrow of its own. May He make your every moment with your Mom a precious moment. I know how difficult it is to be the sole caregiver and the one who is relied upon to navigate the care and doctor appointments and all that is involved...bless your heart...mine goes out to you. None of this dealing with aging parents is easy, but God's grace is sufficient. I got your precious card in the mail...thank you so much. It was so nice to hear from you. Continuing to pray, and now, I am praying for that dear doctor, too. God bless him and let him stay here to raise his family and help more patients. He is needed, and that is my prayer.

Dear Debbie...
How lovely it was to stop by for a visit with you this warm Monday afternoon...it has simply been too long and I feel absolutely dreadful that I am only now reading of your dear mom...I am so very sorry to hear of the struggles she is facing, but praise the Lord that He is with her every step of the way and that nothing happens without His knowing...what a good, gracious Saviour He is. I pray you are well and staying strong in this time!
You have been in my thoughts so often!

Dear Mrs. Harris,

I have been meaning to come and comment on one of your posts, but never got around to it.
I have really enjoyed reading of your trips and seeing your gorgeous photos. You take some really beautiful ones.
I have been praying for your mom as I think of her throughout the weeks, and now I will be praying for her doctor. I
am so sorry to hear he has cancer, and pray the Lord will give him strength and heal him. Thank you for sharing this
prayer need so we can all pray for this brother in the Lord. I shall pray for his family as well...it must be hard on them.

I hope you are having a happy week, friend.

Much love,

So thankful that you got to enjoy the beautiful fall flowers! I do hope that the snow that fell in CO this past weekend didn't affect your travels with your mother! I am so thankful that she is doing so much better, but can only imagine the difficult treadmill you have been on trying to help her get well again. What a sad thing to hear the doctor who did the surgery for your mother now is suffering from a horrible cancer, I will join in prayer with you for him! How wonderful that he was sharing joy in the midst of his sorrow. Praying for you this October as you settle your mother in for the winter, and that the Lord will protect, and keep you both in your travels. Appreciate you dear friend!

Dearest Debbie, I have been spending time with your blog and so enjoying the lovely scripture and beautiful images that you have shared. (My post was updated with your correct information. My deepest apologies.) I will keep your sweet mom in prayer. The teacup exchange is such a blessing to me. The package always seems to arrive on the perfect day. Enjoy this lovely time of Thanksgiving. Happy Harvest!
