Placing my Blog on Hold ~

Have you ever gone through your day, looked around
and wondered what was going on in the lives
of those around you?
I often do that, especially when there is something major happening
in my own life and the life of my family.
Like for instance this past Tuesday, the 4th of July
when, instead of having an afternoon barbecue with family members
I was zipping in and out of heavy traffic making my way for the hospital
to see my mother, who had been taken by "flight for life" to a major hospital
not but a few hours earlier.
Mom is, as the Doctors say ~ "stabily critical with a very sick heart."
My three hour drive seemed like an eternity!
Though I was driving with care I'm sure to those other drivers on the road
I appeared to be a crazy women.
I thought to myself  'maybe there are times when drivers zip by me
on the highway because they too have an emergency
and I'm getting upset with their driving.'
We really don't know what people around us may be going through
as we come into contact with them.
Some may be carrying some pretty heavy loads and burdens.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if people would choose to be more sensitive,
caring and understanding rather than cranky, out spoken
or judgmental? Life would sure be a lot sweeter.

I will be placing my blog on hold during this season of our lives.
My mind is finding it hard to function at times
and I need to be focused on the issue at hand without other concerns.
Even though there is a lot of waiting time as the Doctors work first and for most to get mom out of the critical stage, my mind seems elsewhere more times than not.
God has been good and gracious through out this whole ordeal,
and I am praising His Holy Name.
I may take some time and stop in for a visit,
but should you not see me around please, no worries.
I must apologize to some of you for not responding to your comments
during my last two posts .
I so appreciate your sweet visits and lovely comments
and they deserve a reply back, but finding that extra time has been difficult.
Over the last week I have been dealing with a nasty virus on top of everything else
and free time just doesn't seem to be available right now.
I would like to thank each one of you in advance for your prayers,
love and concern. God bless you.
I asked for prayer weeks ago for my father-in-law with his colon cancer
and his surgery went well.
Praise the Lord!

Prayer lays hold of God's plan and becomes the link between His will
and it's accomplishments on earth.
Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege
of being the channels of the Holy Spirit's prayer.

Oh sweet friend, my heart goes out to you with all that you're dealing with right now with your mom. Thank you for letting us know about your father in law and his successful surgery. Prayers will continue for him and your mom, and YOU. God bless you, dearest Debbie, and take good care of yourself so that you can care of your loved ones.

Wow. Prayers ARE coming your way, dear Debbie. I hope the virus scampers away soon as I know it's very hard to be on top of things when you have a cold/cough.
God be with your mama.

Precious Debbie, I have already prayed for you as you are dealing with your mom's hospitalization and all that is involved with that. I know the weight of it all having been through this with our parents (who are no longer alive). I praise God for His loving mercy and care of us and know that God will guide the doctors and all who care for her. Praise God that your father-in-law's surgery went well. No need to reply to any of my comments, but know that you are dearly loved by us all. You are a treasure, and I know God will quiet your heart as you step away for a time to care for what He would have you do. Much love and tender hugs! xoxo

Totally understandable and glad you are able to see what needs to be done and what needs to be set aside. Praying for you and your family.

And remembering your father-in-law as well. What a full plate you all have. Thankful you do not walk through this alone.

Oh, dear friend! I am SO, so sorry! Your situation reminds me of when my dear Daddy was critically ill in the hospital in FL, and my mother-in-law was seriously ill in the hospital in WV, all at the same time. We were so torn. "This too shall pass" is very true, but it is SO hard when life is so riddled with worry and heaviness. I am so grateful to know that your father-in-law's surgery went well! Praise God!!! The same God Who brought him through is in control of your dear mother. I trust the dear Lord will heal her and bless the two of you with many more years together. If you need to talk, I am here.

Thank you for letting us know and also for the successful surgery for your FIL. Prayers will continue for him as well.
Rest when you can and God Bless you my friend.
Love and prayers sent your way! xoxo

Oh, Debbie, I am so sorry you are having to go through all this. My prayers go out to you and your sweet mother, praying for God's touch. I'm glad to hear that your father in law's surgery went well. My friend, you have to save your energies for what is going on around you. God will be and is beside you each step of this journey. Take all the time you need. You are in my prayers, my friend. A question - if someone was to send you something by snail mail, would be there to receive it or will you be elsewhere? Just wondering. :) Lots of hugs.

Oh, what an emotional load for you all to carry...I am so sorry to hear this about your Mom. I know what a great caretaker you are from past posts, but I also know how exhausting it all can be. You are so right about other drivers and you have put a new light on that for me.....maybe they are rushing to their mother's side too. May God be with you all through this....love to you...

In some seasons of life we deal with so many burdens. I pray yours will be lighter as you rest in Him. Even so I know you need uplifting in prayer and a stoppage of things that just are not necessary in the moment. God help you as you walk through this with your mom and may God strengthen her too. Oh dear Debbie! My heart goes out to you, and I have thought many times about others on the road, what are they dealing with? It does help one to be more patient when things are rough. I am so thankful for the good report for your FIL, and am so very sad to hear about your mother! When the crises of life come upon us, how wonderful it is to know we are in the Lord's hands, and that He cares for us and tenderly looks out for each need we have. He will guide you through the difficulties of your mother's care and decisions that may have to be made. I will be praying for you and your precious family through all of this that the Lord's help and hand of mercy will be upon each of you, and give you strength, wisdom, healing and all that you need. Don't worry about responding to this comment, and your blog will be here when you come back to it dear friend! Your posts always mean so much to me, even if you just share a scripture or two. Your attitude and love for the Lord are an encouragement and blessing, always! Appreciate you so much, and will be praying for you!
