The Joys of Friendship

"Your only treasures are those which you carry in your heart"
~Demophilus~

My daughter Stephanie and I had the joy and privilege
of meeting Deborah Montgomery one of our dear and precious
blogging friends over a cup of tea and sweet fellowship
in a unique Tea Room one day last week.
Our delightful time together will forever
be treasured and carried in our hearts.
Deborah is as beautiful on the inside
as she is on the out.
Deborah's Blog name is The Beautiful matters,
and she fits her blog as well as the name perfectly.
Deborah is a gracious and lovely lady,
and both Stephanie and I are thankful for the chance
to have met such a dear friend.
"No love, no friendship can cross the path
of our destiny without leaving some mark on it forever"
~Francois Mauriac~
Deborah has certainly left her mark on our hearts.
Please stop by Stephanie's blog and read more about our lovely day together.
Stephanie has shared some beautiful photo's of the Tea Room,
the historic town and of course the three of us ladies
all prettied up in our tea hats.

Deborah gifted me with this precious honey jar and candle,
and some darling bumble bee napkins and tea
that are not pictured here.
She was sharing with me, that our names
have the meaning of being "Busy Bees"
while I believe we are certainly busy,
she likes to think of us as being "Honey Bees"
and so her gift had a beautiful meaning behind it.
How sweet that she would put such thought into her gift.

"Kind words are jewels that live in the heart
and soul and remain as blessed memories"
~Marvea Johnson~

Last week I had a "Blog Party" in celebration of Stephanie's
special 30th birthday, and YOU dear ladies
came gracing the party in all your beauty and loveliness.
Thank you sweet friends for taking the time to visit and
share your sweet birthday wishes.
Your gift of comments were tender and touching
like "jewels"  leaving an imprint of blessed memories.
Thank you for your kind words.
Stephanie would also like to share her thanks with you.

I can't thank each and every one of you enough for the beautiful response to my mom's birthday party post. Your heartfelt birthday wishes went straight to my heart and I was in awe of your love and kindness. For you to take the time to wish me a happy birthday and offer words of wisdom was the greatest gift I could have received. Please know that your words will remain with me for a very long time and as I continue on in this journey called life I will remember to kneel in prayer and thank the Lord for such precious blogging friends. Thank you for making my 30th birthday beautiful and memorable. With love and sweet hugs, Stephanie.

Lorraine, from Flowerladysmusings is the blessed winner
of my birthday give-away. Congratulations Lorraine!!
I want to say thank you again to each of you dear ladies
for joining  in on Stephanie's birthday celebration.
How I would have loved to share a gift with each one of you.
The Lord bless you!

Thank you Heavenly Father,
for placing friends into our lives.
May we, as ladies, be always gracious and lovely
in the lives of our friends, whom You have blessed us with.
Amen

I always feel so special when I visit here and at Stephanie's blog...you both do such an amazing job! A big congratulations to the winner of your lovely giveaway! I know she will cherish and enjoy the sweet prize! The meaning of your name is lovely, too...and your name also reminds me of the Old Testament's Deborah. I do trust God will bless you, sweet friend. Once again I am blessed by a lovely post of yours.

I am so glad that you, Stephanie and Deborah had such a lovely tea together. I had read about it on Deborah's blog, now I need to read about it on Stephanie's blog.

Love your cheery photos.

Friendships made here in blog land hold a special place in my heart. So many have been so loving and encouraging since I lost my dear husband. It all makes me not feel completely alone. I thank everyone for that.

I want to say thank you that I am the winner of your give-away also. It was a very pleasant surprise after an 'out of my comfort zone' day yesterday.

Have a lovely weekend dear Debbie ~ Love & hugs ~ FlowerLady

I just love your bee gifts and the reference for your name. The friendships I have made through blogging are just as precious as the ones I have one on one. My dream is to meet some of my blogging friends in person someday. What a lovely time you and Stephanie had!

Hello Dear, What a lovely tribute all you ladies had with your old fashion tea party. I think it was great that you had that time together! She truly is a lovely and kind and very gracious lady. I am just sorry I did not get to meet you when I was in your area! Maybe next time! Your blog looks just lovely and so refreshed in its look.
I can see where your daughter has had you as a model of love and grace!
And the meaning of your name truly suits you!

Oh, Debbie, I agree that the new look of your blog is simply lovely! Stephanie is amazing and has such an eye for blog beauty (and beauty in general, I might also add). What a lovely post today, and it was a wonderful time for you and Stephanie to meet Deborah. What a precious time, and having time in a lovely tea room just couldn't get any better than that, right? How very sweet that your names mean "Busy Bees," and I can agree with that. But I also like the "Honey Bees" as well and think that fits quite well. What beautiful gifts and so aptly chosen with the name meaning. How cheery and beautiful, and I know you will use these well. What a blessing always to visit and to relax and spend some time with you, my friend. It's been a far too busy time for us, but we trust that God will provide some downtime soon. Sending love and hugs! xoxo

Hi Debbie, I had tea out of your lovely teacup today and hope to have a post about that tomorrow. It was such a lovely visit, wasn't it? As you know, thinking about being a "honey bee" reminds me to try and bring a little sweetness to others; you certainly do that, my friend! Yes, our lunch together will be a treasured memory.
Congratulations to Flower Lady. I'm glad to think of her receiving a blessing. She's a special lady.
And thank you for the little pin! How cute!! I'm hoping to get my proper thank you out tomorrow. xo Deborah

Hi Debbie, it was so nice for both you and Stephanie to have met up with your friend Deborah. I visited Stephanie's blog, what a wonderful place.

I love your photos, they're so bright and springy. We have been getting snow every day for about 2 weeks now, it's snowing as we speak. Where did Spring go? Your pretty pictures allow me to experience a taste of Spring and believing that it's almost here.

I remember Deborah writing a post a while back about the significance of her name. How "sweet" that she shared a honey pot with you ;) Sounds like you three had a very special meeting at the tea room. I did read Stephanie's post on this as well, and you gals look so glamorous! All three of you are beauties. Congratulations to the winner! Have a wonderful week Debbie,

Wendy

I was out of town while you had Stephanie's birthday celebration "blog party", and I feel so sad that I wasn't able to join in. I will be visiting that post next and commenting. I did send her a birthday card, and I'm so happy that blogland has afforded such special and enduring friendships. What a blessing it is to have been able to meet with another blogging friend, God is so good, isn't He! Much love and hugs to you today, Debbie!

Hi Debbie, I came over from Deborah's and Roxy's and wanted to meet you. We live in the same state, I'm not sure where you are though. I'm in Windsor, close to Fort Collins. I loved your post and then read about you-we also homeschooled our two daughters and now our daughters, who live nearby, homeschool their kiddos. We have 11 grands-love it. I'm going to follow you and look forward to getting to know you.

Debbie, how wonderful that you and Stephanie got to meet Deborah! All three of you are some of the sweetest gals in blog land. I love anything bee themed. Here in UT we are known as the beehive state. I have that same candle and a collection of vintage honey jars. Sad that I was traveling and missed the birthday celebration. I'm sure it was fabulous!
