Away From my Blog

"Prayer is no fitful, short-lived thing,
it is no voice unheard and unheeded
in the silence. It is a voice which goes into
God's ear, and it lives as long as God's ear
is open to holy pleas, as long as God's heart
is alive to holy things.
God shapes the world by prayer."
~ E.M. Bounds ~

 I want to thank those of you, Dear friends,
for the prayers you have lifted
on behalf of my parents, especially my father
and his health issues.
On Monday morning the 4th
my father will be having open heart/by-pass surgery.
 ~
"Grant that I may not pray alone with the mouth;
help me that I may pray from the depths of my heart."
~ Martin Luther ~
~
There is peace with-in our hearts
just knowing others are on their knees
in prayer when the needs arise.
I know you will be praying,
and from the sincerity of my heart, thank you!
~
I will be spending some time with my parents
so I will not be posting.
I will be getting my messages, so please feel free
to contact me if you would like.
Should time allow, I will pop my head in
and try to say hello.

~~~***~~~
"And in that day you will ask Me nothing.
Most assuredly, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in My name,
He will give you."
(John 16:23)
Amen
Joy!
Dear Debbie, I will certainly be praying with you and for you as you spend this time with your parents. I pray your time there is blessed, and for the Lord's hand to be on your father through this time. Just enjoyed your beautiful quotes about prayer this morning - great way to start my day. Prayer is such a joy, and I thank the Lord every day for the wonderful way that we can communicate with Him. Take care, and may the Lord's presence go with you :)
Prayer is our way to stay connected with each other as trials come and go in our lives.
At this moment, it may seem scary the path that your family is walking, but always know, that others are walking it with you and lifting you up to the Throne of Our God!
Dear Debbie, you and your sweet father will most certainly be in my prayers! God be with your whole family as he undergoes this surgery and also the recovery process. I have been through this with my own husband several years ago and it is a big deal. BUT...we serve a BIG GOD don't we? God bless you, my friend and take all the time that you need! Blessings!
I was just reading this morning in my devotional from Oswald Chambers about prayer. Your daddy and family will be in my thoughts and prayers as he undergoes this surgery tomorrow. May the Lord give y'all strength throughout the coming days to be a light of Christ to all those who are darkened by sin. I say this because I know from personal experience how many lost souls are in hospitals - patients and staff. It's a beautiful place to share His redemption! Love and hugs, my friend!!!
Oh, dearest Debbie, I've been praying and know that God will meet you just where you are! How very precious prayer is, and how even more precious when we "gather" together and unite in prayer for each other, as believers, trusting Him for the outcome and for strength and peace! Praying that God will guide the hands of the physicians and all who assist him and those who will care for your precious dad. And praying for you and your mom, as you wait. I always think it's especially hardest for our dear ones rather than the one who is the patient (I've heard what my precious husband as told me recently when I was hospitalized these last few months.) So may God surround You with His tenderness and give you peace! Tender hugs and love, as we pray! (And, I love your new photo!)
I will include your husband's well being in my daily prayer intentions. I have come to pray for all of my blogging friends in this close community we have built through sharing creativity, joy and anxiety.
I'd like to correct my comment....I meant to say "your father" as the recipient of my prayers! God bless him!
Oh Debbie! I will most definitely keep your father and your family in my prayers. Heart surgery always sounds so scary, but I know the good Lord will be with your father and guiding the surgeon's hands as they operate on him. Blessings and hugs to you my sweet friend....Vicky
