Our Glorious Fall Colors ~

Here in Colorado the colors have been magnificent this year!
Our spring was long with plenty of moisture
and I believe because of that we are reaping the glorious
benefits now in the changing of colors
as our aspen trees, grasses and shrubs show forth their beauty.
Our home is surrounded with glorious yellows, reds, oranges and green
with beauty at every turn.
As I step out of the house I can't help but sing the hymn Majesty;
There's glory at every turn and my praise
is to God and God alone!
Isn't His world glorious?!

Majesty, worship His majesty,

Unto Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise.

Majesty, kingdom authority flow from His throne unto His own;

His anthem raise.

So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus,

Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus the King.

Majesty, worship his majesty;

Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.

The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty;
the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith
he hath girded himself: the world also is established,
that it cannot be moved.
Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their waves.
The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters,
yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becomes thine house,
O Lord, forever.
~ Psalm 93:1-5 ~

The reason Aspen leaves change, like the leaves of any deciduous tree,
is because of a decrease in photosynthetic activity
as the days get shorter in the fall.
The gold and yellow colors we see in autumn
are always there; in the fall, they simply are revealed
when the green hues from chlorophyll production fade.
☆ Colorado State Forest Service  ☆

I've always said that the leaves on an Aspen tree clap their hands.
Well, flat rather than round stems allow the leaves to flutter
making them sound as if they are clapping.
Plus, stems give leaves strength,
allowing them to twist in the wind.
That is why the Aspen tree is so beautiful when the wind blows.

I pray that you are enjoying all he beauty and glory
that surrounds you.
God, in His greatness shows forth Himself everywhere we look,
don't miss out on the glories He has for you.
Take care my lovely friends and joy to you!

Be Lovely!
Debbie

Dear Debbie, Oh what glorious colors you are seeing this year. We went up to Estes a week ago and didn't see any colors at all. My daughter's family went up on Sunday and they were just starting to see color. Hubby and I are going up really early Thursday to see colors and hopefully some elk. Thank you for sharing His glory with us; love it!
Blessings,
Noreen

Love your Fall pics and the verses too.

We certainly cooled off here a ton, and the leaves have begun to change color.

Have a great new week.

Hi Debbie,
after looking at your beautiful pictures, and reading the Words of the Psalm, I have to continue to say, as I always do 'It is a fool who says there is no God.'
God bless you and yours Debbie.

I was able to travel through Colorado once about 30 years ago. It was beautiful that September, but your photos are outstanding! God paints a beautiful picture of His love for us. Thank you for sharing these lovely photos with those of us who are still experiencing 95+ degree weather. Could you share a little of the cool weather too? :) Love you. Sending hugs!

So beautiful! I love to watch the leaves change here in MI and be reminded how beautiful the Christian life is. There is beauty in the death of a Christian, just like in the leaves.

Oh my...what gorgeous photos! You and your hubby make such an adorable couple...and what a beautiful backdrop! I have always wanted to visit Colorado and I think the chances of me doing so are greater now. Our son Adam, who will be our "neighbor" in a few days, has promised to take us there. We are currently experiencing dried up green trees in the sweltering heat of the south...UGH! There is nothing I enjoy more than taking in all the beauty our Lord has created...a beautiful post, my friend!

So beautiful! I love the picture of you and your hubby - you are a wonderful couple, so full of the grace and love of Jesus, and it shines forth in all you do! When I read your words about aspen trees, it made me think of the John Denver song "Aspenglow." (Here's a link, in case you've never heard it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPcq6Mw4pRo) One of my favorites. I love that whole CD. I think he loved your area of the country and seemed to sing of it often. I've never been there, but maybe one day! It was so nice to visit with you today, sweet friend. :)

Oh the photos are breathtaking! They are so beautiful it almost gave me chills. Loved the psalms too with the photos too and the little lesson on why the leaves turn golden.

You are a lovely gal with such a sweet, sweet countenance, very rare indeed.

For me? Ha ha, I'm waiting on the autumn leaves, we have a few red ones here and there so far, I think this next week will deliver some longed for cool air for us.

Take care now, it's always so wonderful to hear from you. Hugs!

So gorgeous, Debbie! Yes, I would be singing "Majesty" right there with you! I love how God paints His glory all around us in different ways for us to behold...if we will just open our eyes and enjoy! We don't get quite the same kind of beauty here in Florida in the fall, but there are many subtle changes that are beautiful in their own way if we just take the time to notice. I try to do just that...and am watching every day. Unto Jesus, be all glory, power and praise!!!

Hello Dear lady, your autumn leaves are so pretty,and this song is perfect, I dearly love singing it at the top of my voice. It used to be our doxology at the beginning of our church service, it always set the tone for worship.
The photo of you and your dh is so lovely, a beautiful couple indeed !
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comment, I haven't found mush time for blogging lately as we are preparing for my dh's knee surgery in November.
I would so appreciate your prayers so much.
