Hello sweet friends!!
I know, I know, I was not going to post for awhile, but here I am.
My husband and I have been busy getting our ducks in a row
before leaving on our travels and the last duck has been placed, hallelujah!
We will be heading out soon but I just had to share something with you.
As I mentioned in my last post, my time away will be enjoyed
by quiet precious time sitting at the feet of Jesus.
Even during this busy time of preparing to go away the Lord
has been gracious in meeting me in the early mornings and
preparing me for what I believe is going to be a glorious
and blessed time in quietness and communion as I seek His presence.
Many of you have shared privately with me of your own desire
to draw closer to our Precious Heavenly Father,
and that's why I wanted to share this beautiful devotional with you.
May your heart be as blessed as my my own heart has been
as I've pondered on these lovely words.

~ Marvellous Lovingkindness ~
"Show Your marvellous lovingkindness by Your right hand,
O You who save those who trust in you
from those who rise up against them."
~Psalm 17:7 ~
When we give our hearts with our alms, we give well, but we must often
plead to a failure in this respect. Not so our Master and our Lord.
His favours are always performed with the love of His heart.
He does not send us to the cold meat and the broken pieces
from the table of His luxury, but He dips our morsel in His own dish,
and seasons our provisions with the spices of His fragrant affections.
When He puts the golden tokens of His grace into our palms,
He accompanies the gift with such a warm pressure of our hand,
that the manner of His giving is as precious as the boon itself.
He will come into our houses upon His errands of kindness,
and He will not act as some austere visitors do in the poor man's cottage,
but He sits by our side, not despising our poverty , nor blaming our weakness.
Beloved, with that smile does He speak!
What golden sentences drop from His gracious lips!
What embraces of affection does He bestow upon us!
If He had but given us farthings, the way of His giving would have
gilded them; but as it is, the costly alms are set in a golden
basket by His pleasant carriage. It is impossible to doubt the sincerity
of His charity, for there is a bleeding heart stamped upon the face of all
His benefactors. He giveth liberally and upbraideth not.
Not one hint that we are burdensome to Him; not one cold look
for His poor pensioners; but He rejoices in His mercy,
and presses us to His bosom while He is pouring out His life for us.
There is a fragrance in His spikenard which nothing but His heart could produce;
there is a sweetness in His honey-comb which could not be in it unless
the very essence of His soul's affection had been mingled with it.
Oh! the rare communion which such singular heartiness effecteth!
May we continually taste and know the blessedness of it!

Morning & Evening with Spurgeon
~♡♡♡~
The spirit of God used Spurgeon's words to penetrate my own heart.
"God's favours are always performed with the love of His heart"
"He seasons our provisions with the spices of His fragrant affections"
"He seasons our provisions with the spices of His fragrant affections"
"He sits by our side, not blaming our weaknesses"
"His smile, His gracious lips, His embrace of affection does He bestow upon us"
"There is a bleeding heart stamped upon the face of His benefactors"
"We are not burdensome to Him"
"He presses us to His bosom while He is pouring out His life for us"
Oh such love!
Our Heavenly Father always draws us with the cords of love
that we might enjoy and exercise a more simple faith in Him.
Friends, are you leaving your worldly cares with God?
Trusting Him completely when you hear Him say,
"come my child, and trust Me?"
As a child of the King, we are privileged to enter into His presence
and approach boldly the throne of His grace.
May we not hold back, but allow God to draw us ever so close to His bosom
so our joy may be full.
so our joy may be full.

Another wonderful reason for my posting was so I could share with you
the love that was shown to me from a dear and precious blogging friend.
Barbara, who so beautifully blogs over at Small Moments
was having a give-away and I was her blessed winner.
I don't usually enter give-away's, but her gift of this gorgeous address book
was hard to pass up.
This address book has gorgeous pictures throughout painted by Claude Monet,
who was born in Paris but spent his youth at Le Havre where his
innate desire to paint was matched by his love for the Seine with its
reflections of trees, houses and passing boats.
Barbara also sent me a beautiful hand crafted sachet filled with
lavender from her very own garden along with the sweetest note card.
Thank you so much Barbara for sharing your beauty and love!
Be Gracious!
