Happy Canada Day & Independence Day!

Happy Canada Day & Independence Day!
~*****~
Since my dear husbands nationality is Canadian,
and it is Canada Day on July 1st, so close to our Independence Day celebration,
I wanted to combine the two holidays
and wish all those out there a blessed holiday celebration.
~*~
My dear mother-in-law would always say,
"I don't know why these two countries will not become one".
She was so cute...
From the time she was a young girl, she traveled to the States,
 so she knows both sides.
She always felt that Canada and the United States
were very much the same and that Canada should join the United States.
Her thoughts were wonderful, but in her life time that did not take place.
But we can sure celebrate with and for one another!.
 ~*~
God's Word tells us in Psalm 33:12a
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord".
~*~
That pretty well say's it all!
~*~
Let All the World in Every Corner Sing

Let all the world in every corner sing: My God and King!
The heavens are not too high, His praise may thither fly;
The earth is not too low, His praises there may grow.
Let all the world in every corner sing; My God and King!
~*****~
Let all the world in every corner sing: My God and King!
The church with psalms must shout, no door can keep them out:
But, more than all, the heart must bear the longest part.
Let all the world in every corner sing: My God and King!
~*~
Where ever your corner of the world is,
make God your King, and your Lord,
singing praises and glory to His Holy name..
~*~
The chorus to "Battle Hymn of the Republic" is,
"Glory glory hallelujah! Glory glory hallelujah!
Glory glory hallelujah! His truth is marching on".
God's Truth is marching on day by day.
Regardless of what is taking place all around the world,
He is God, and He is King.
All nation's belong to Him.
He is in His holy temple, and His throne is in heaven. (Psalm11:4)
~*~
Are you marching on with God, singing glory glory hallelujah?
~*~

 Our precious Heavenly Father.
Make us a people who's God is their Lord.
Create in us a heart and a passion to march on with the Truth of the Gospel,
singing glory glory hallelujah no matter what is going on all around us.
May we walk in faith trusting You, in each of our corners of the world.
Amen.

I hope you had a fun Canada Day, Debbie. I had a ball with friends and family, despite the thunderstorms rolling in and out.
I love that the US and Canada are so similar in so many ways yet we have a distinct personalities as well. It's great to be such good neighbours.
I hope your 4th of July is loads of fun. Such a lovely post - thank you!

The only place in Canada that I have visited is Victoria, British Columbia, but it was beautiful. Canada and America are such good neighbors and close in their celebration. Enjoyed the post.

Beautiful post Debbie. Thanks so much for your kind words and following along with my photo challenge. Stephanie and her kind ways are obviously due in large part to her sweet Mama :)

Hi Debbie! Happy country birthdays to both of you! How lovely of you to respect your husband's place of birth. I have been to Canada, and I don't think everyone is so interested in joining the USA! It's lovely to read that your MIL wanted that, but she knew you! And you were a lovely American woman :)

Blessings,
Ceil

Too funny! Part of the States?? Our son has wondered that from time to time as well. We cross the border so frequently that it sometimes feels like we are a part of your country. I like your photo of the two flags. Happy Canada Day and Independence Day to you both! :)
