Memorial Blessings

Memorial Day usually has some type of picnic or Bar-B-Q
activity planned with loved ones to gather with.
It's a time spent with family and friends,
and in our neck of the woods,
BEAR!
~
"Yogi" our latest addition this spring
took on the job of looking after the Bar-B-Q.
"Boo Boo", Yogi's brother did not join us for lunch,
he was likely out looking for berries, as Yogi should have been doing!
~
We are surrounded by the beauty of God's creation,
and each spring we are blessed to find
many new animals and creatures to love and enjoy.
I trust your Memorial Day week-end has been as blessed as ours.
~
Our precious Heavenly Father.
Thank you, for this time when we can reflect and honor
those who have sacrificed much for the freedoms of this country.
May we never forget...
Thank you, for family and friends
whom we can gather with,
sharing the joy of sweet fellowship,
and for the many provisions You bestow upon us.
Amen.
~

Oh what a sight! It looks just like he is going to throw a couple of burgers on and grill 'em up! The only thing he is missing is the ball cap...and maybe an apron...lol! I love all of the wonderful wildlife that God has provided for us to enjoy! I pray your Memorial Day will be blessed, Debbie!

haha... I'm glad I'm having a BBQ at MY house and not yours - I'm not sure if I would trust what Yogi is grilling :)

I hope you have a blessed Memorial Day. May we NEVER forget the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country.

I love you! We are headed off to get donuts and flowers for planting. That is, we're planting the flowers and of course eating the donuts!

What an incredible photo!
A beautiful post to pay tribute to all who have served our country. My maternal grandfather gave his life in WWII.
Hope you are enjoying the long weekend. We moved on Wed. and everything went well. Looking forward to getting back online soon.
Your precious tea cup/saucer is one of the first things I unpacked. I treasure it.

Oh how funny...love the picture. We had two bears visit us the last time we were at Lake Tahoe. A momma and cub. No harm done, but a little tense.

I enjoyed your story too.

Oh my gosh, Debbie, what a great picture! He looks like he's joining you for dinner and has offered to grill!
I once had a cougar in my backyard but he wasn't nearly as social, lol.
Love coming to your blog, my daffy friend.
A lovely prayer.
Hugs!

Hi Debbie, what a sight! A bear in your yard, how scary. We have all kinds of wild critters around here, but I haven't see a bear yet. Lovely tribute to those who have given their lives for our country. Have a great week.

LOL, what a great photo, Debbie! It looks like he's ready to flip the burgers. At least you saw him before he saw you.

I hope your long weekend was wonderful as well as your week so far.

Yikes! And I thought the raccoons were bad here in North Carolina. =)
Still so cute, wonder what he was planning to cook? ;) Blessings and Sunshine, Valerie

Oh my "Bears" now that is something. I hope they don't cause problems. This one looks like he knows how to handle a grill!

Nothing like uninvited guests to a picnic especially those who tend to "take-over" things...lol I guess I would have been scared to death... how exciting to look out and see a bear trying to get into the grill.. What a lovely prayer at the end of your post..I had a brother who was killed in Vietnam.. so thankful for your heartfelt prayer.. Have a great week and wonderful Blessings to you without bears...lol Blessings!

Oh how wonderful to get such beautiful creatures visiting you. I wish I could have them come to my house but I live in town so I am sure that they are better off far away from here.
LOve seeing your pictures though
Janice
